The Story (Part I):

We arrive at the hospital at 7:25pm for a tour of the maternity facilities.  (Baby not due until July 1.)

The tour began at 7:32pm. The tour was being given by
Alma Katherine Hunter. We had met in the Lobby then took the elevator to the 3rd floor.

app. 7:40pm We arrived on the third floor - continued our tour to the entrance of the delivery room.

app. 7:45pm We circled around the delivery room. The room was very nice with hardwood floors and very roomy. (Display model you know - has to look good).   Questions and answers were given. A few questions from Sherri.  We continue the tour to observe the babies.

app. 8:00pm  A few more questions and answers - and everybody looking at the babies. We continue to the private room after delivery. A few more explanations/questions etc.

app. 8:12 Sherri leans over; she whispers "I will be right back".  I see her ask someone where the restroom is. Mrs. Alma Katherine continues the tour to the elevator. As we are waiting I am wondering if Sherri is going to be back for us to stay with the group. I see someone running out of the waiting room - they run for Mrs. Alma Katherine - she goes into the waiting room and I see Sherri looking out of the Door. I rush over and Mrs. Alma Katherine says "She thinks her water broke." Mrs. Katherine says she will be back and goes and gets the Wheelchair.

As you could imagine Sherri is upset - especially with the due date not until July 1. Sherri apologizes to me and Mrs. Alma - . We are wheeled past the group. Mrs. Alma say that all of the other women wished it were them.

We are wheeled down the hall to the nurses' desk for delivery. We wait a little while - they have been very busy. Mrs. Alma asks what room we could place her.

app. 8:30pm. We get the Tour Room.
